About Dr KP Meda - Chiropodist in Dubai
Dr KP Meda is a leading British Orthopaedic Foot and ankle specialist in Dubai with over 15 years of experience at a Consultant level in managing all aspects of elective and trauma.
Working as a foot surgeon in Dubai, he keenly follows the British methods of surgical practice. He prides himself on listening to the patient, doing appropriate investigations, and discussing treatment options with the patient and their family at the centre. He is known for his non-interventional approach to foot and ankle conditions and only operates when all other reasonable alternatives are tried.
Dr KP Meda got educated at Oxford and Edinburgh Universities and undertook a full Orthopaedic training program in Liverpool deanery leading to CCST. He gained MCh(Ortho) from Liverpool University and a specialty FRCS (Tr & Orth) from the Royal College of Edinburgh in 2004. He completed a fellowship at Oxford university under the auspices of Dr Paul Cooke, a founder of the British Foot and ankle society. He then travelled in Europe and USA to learn the latest techniques in the specialised field of Foot and Ankle from Dr Weil (Chicago, USA), Dr Barouk (Bordeaux, France), and Dr de Prado (Murcia, Spain).
His appointment in 2006 as Consultant Foot and Ankle Surgeon at Birmingham Regional Royal Orthopaedic Hospital led to the establishment of an NHS foot and ankle unit. He has over 30 years of extensive experience in dealing with orthopaedic pathologies affecting children and adults. He has lectured worldwide and published articles in peer-reviewed journals. He is an editor for several journals. Elmhurst ballet school Birmingham chose him as their surgeon.
He is a member of the British Orthopaedic Association, the British Orthopaedic Foot & Ankle Society, a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, and a member of the Emirates Orthopaedic society. He is an honorary senior lecturer at Birmingham university and Sharjah Medical College.
Currently functional as Foot surgeon/chiropodist in Dubai, he has set up a comprehensive Foot & Ankle service in King’s College Hospital Dubai to align practice with its London counterpart. He moved to Dubai in 2018 and started working as a foot & ankle specialist in Dubai at King’s College London hospital in Dubai. Dr KP Meda prides himself on his professional approach with all patients ranging from the elite athlete to the elderly.
